At the heart of this award-winning interior is a sophisticated backlit stretch ceiling system by NEWMAT India, a complex engineering feat that seamlessly blends high-tech functionality with the refined vision of Architect Keyur Rach from Sense Design

Crafting an environment that feels “cool” yet timelessly elegant required a design partner who wasn’t afraid to push the limits of spatial design. Arch Keyur Rach’s vision demanded a ceiling that was not just a surface, but a source of volumetric light that could elevate the entire customer experience.

Mastering the Complexity of Luxury Design

While the translucent stretch ceiling appears effortless, it is a masterclass in precision engineering. Spanning a massive 9.481 m × 5.620 m, this installation was designed to create a shadow-free, immersive environment.

Key Highlights of the installation include:

• Seamless Integration: We successfully integrated spotlights, smoke detectors, CCTV cameras and chandeliers directly into the stretch membrane without compromising the visual harmony or tension of the surface.
• Precision Lighting: Utilizing custom engineering high CRI full spectrum LED system, we achieved a uniform 4000K light temperature, ensuring the intricate details and true colors of the bridal jewelry are perfectly rendered.
• Advanced DALI Control: Powered by Osram DALI dimmable drivers and the Osram DALI Dimmer MCU WOC, the lighting levels can be adjusted smoothly to create specific “scenes”—from bright, functional viewing to a soft, ambient mood for private consultations.
