The project
The brief
A head office whose ceiling read as design, not infrastructure — fluid capsule and circular forms across five floors, evenly lit for a full working day.
The solution
NEWMAT specified 120+ bespoke ceilings in TOB3 translucent membrane. The European-manufactured membrane holds tension across each span without sag, so every capsule reads as a clean, seam-free plane.
The lighting science
Even light starts behind the membrane. NEWMAT designed the ceiling and the lighting as a single specification — setting cavity depth and module spacing so the light reads uniform edge to edge:
- Genuine Osram LCX LED modules, warranted per installation (3-year LED warranty).
- Dialux simulation run to a 500 lux average at the work plane, 4000K, before install.
- On-site mock-up tested and signed off before full fabrication.
The outcome
Designed in-house with Arch. Harsh Bhogani and installed by NEWMAT India, the finished HQ reads as one continuous, calm light field across five floors — and the partnership has since extended to the factory Board Room and Director Cabins.
