Project Details:

The modern interior of the DFCCIL Control Room at Sabarmati redefines control room design. At its core lies a human-centered philosophy, prioritizing balanced acoustics, ergonomic workstations, and lighting elements that foster an environment of focused attention.

NEWMAT India was privileged to collaborate closely with the project’s core team, designing and delivering a stretch ceiling solution that elevates the space to its absolute peak of beauty. Eight frameless 3D-printed NEWMAT ceilings grace the heart of the facility, the main control room, inspiring awe in both users and visitors. From pattern conception to final installation, our dedicated team meticulously managed every step to ensure an impeccable result for the client.

In addition to the stunning main control room, the project also features an elegant translucent stretch ceiling in the conference room, designed to enhance lighting efficiency while creating a calming atmosphere ideal for meetings. Furthermore, a circular printed stretch ceiling adds a sleek, contemporary accent to the control room, creating a modern and advanced ambiance that perfectly complements the workspace, providing a dynamic yet comfortable environment for the team. To achieve optimal lighting control throughout the facility, Helvar DALI Dimmable Systems were integrated, providing adaptive and energy-efficient lighting solutions.

This project exemplifies our commitment to pushing boundaries. Creating frameless curves demands precise engineering and installation expertise. NEWMAT prides itself on achieving consistent curves across all ceilings in this project, thanks to our deep understanding of stretch ceiling science. Frameless parametric shapes empower designers to incorporate unique elements into their projects, eliminating the need for complex joinery and frames.

The project’s national importance was underscored by its inauguration by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The DFCCIL Control Room’s 3D-printed stretch ceiling offers a glimpse into the future of workspace design. The stretch ceiling solutions provided by NEWMAT India demonstrate our dedication to crafting ceilings that are both visually stunning and technologically advanced.
