A Collaborative Vision with Arch. Harsh Bhogani (The Crossboundaries)

A beautiful space is never an accident; it’s a shared vision. For the Cosmos Impex Headquarters in Atladara, Vadodara, the creative spark came from Arch. Harsh Bhogani and his team at The Crossboundaries.

Harsh envisioned a workspace that defied the standard, rigid corporate “box.” He imagined a ceiling that breathed—filled with organic, fluid shapes that would guide people through the office. At NEWMAT, our role was to take that bold vision and provide a high-performance office stretch ceiling solutions that turned a concept into a glowing reality.

Bringing the ‘Capsule’ Concept to Life with Translucent Stretch Fabric Ceilings
Across five floors, the design called for over 120 bespoke installations. From perfect circles to elongated capsule shapes, we used NEWMAT’s Translucent TOB3 stretch fabric ceiling which has a transmissivity rate to create architectural features that do more than just behave as glow boxes.
Whether in the high-energy staff areas or the focused environment of the director cabins, these organic shapes break the monotony of the traditional workspace, giving the entire office a distinct, modern personality that is now a benchmark for stretch ceiling Gujarat projects.

The Science of the “Glow”: Translucent Stretch Ceiling Technology
While Architect Harsh provided the vision, we focused on the technical execution. We know that for Indian designers, a translucent stretch ceiling is only as good as its light source. To ensure the vision looked perfect and stayed maintenance-free, we went deep into the details:

• The Backlighting Powerhouse: We integrated the Osram LCX Module LED system for the backlighting. This ensures a crisp, high-end finish without any “dark spots” or “hotspots.”
• The Dialux Simulations: To make this a truly functional office stretch ceiling, we ran multiple Dialux simulations. This technical step allowed us to calculate the exact “Lux levels” (the amount of light hitting the desk) to ensure every employee works in a perfectly lit environment that reduces eye strain.
• The Reality Check: We’ve never believed in guesswork. Along with the client and our partners, we examined on-site mock-ups to test how much lux was actually delivered to the workspaces before the actual execution.e the “hands” that executed the vision of The Crossboundaries, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

The greatest reward for a job well done is the opportunity to do it again. Following the success of the HO, we are honored that Cosmos Impex has awarded us the mandate for their factory premises as well.

We are currently bringing the same level of sophistication to their upcoming Board Room and Director Cabins at the factory, further cementing our footprint in the stretch ceiling Vadodara market.
